Sand stone fireplace

Postby Irishcone » Wed Feb 24, 2016 9:48 pm

Ive had stone in for few years now to build a sandstone fireplace from floor to ceiling and will be putting a stove insert with back boiler. What I want to know is, im wanting to make a lovely nice arch just about the stove. I have a fair idea how this is done but thought I'd ask here for some tips before I tackle it. Im a bit of a perfectionist so want it to look perfect.

The arch is not you real problem. What you want is out of date unless you are really smart.dovre made really nice stove but you needed lots of space.the stove is the focal point so find one you like and come back here and I will do my best to help you.
I have only done hundreds of these so my help may be limitited

Hi Dave, did you mean " everyone to their own taste said the man has he kissed the pigs bum" :?: :D :D its an old saying :D :D
I don't think it's right but I only fitted stoves and fire places for a couple of years
I still believe you cannot really buy experience....
For instance : until you learn to read dsw you will never be a waller 8)
