cscs cards why or why not?

Postby donald » Fri Oct 02, 2009 9:15 pm

Should Drystone walling have a CSCS card under the Heritage card scheme, or ignore the CSCS scheme altogether?
ie individuals register as labourers/ operatives,
Cob and thatchers are registered as a trade
Should there be a vote at DSWA Management Comittee to say whether we (working wallers)are registered/ie can work on construction schemes, under the cscs scheme for our own trade, as other heritage trades do.,... or not
IE do you want dsw as a CSCS card?

Steaming North,

I've spoke to Donald on this matter, and must say that he is very much 'On The Case'. However, CSCS is a government backed project and as such, there seems to be the usual beauracratic inertia.

There should be an advisory paper going out to all professional members in the near future.

Alan.

Alan,

I know quite a lot about CSCS but as I am not a DSWA member then I guess I won't find anything more out?

I'll contact them myself and find out.
