Dry stone walling in the Haut Languedoc, France

Postby zircon » Sun Jun 02, 2013 2:40 pm

Looking for people that may be interested in doing some walling work in the Haut Languedoc area in the south of France.
Tall retaining wall at the bottom of a field needs repair (plus some other stuff) - N.B. this is more than a one man job !
Have had a guy work on this on and off over the past couple of years but has got to the point in terms of height where this particular wall is no longer a one-man job. May suit dry stone waller and labourer keen to assist & learn?
If interested, please provide details and contact email - in return I will provide further details / photos of the project and see if we can agree a way forward
Possible to camp in meadow, down beside river on-site or alternatively stay in house (being renovated) - very basic but water & electricity available

Rob - what is your email address - don't have email set-up on this PC so will need to send photos from another one.
Do you have a colleague you could work with? Having seen the guy struggle with this it really is a 2-man job

Hi, if Rob doesn't get back to you how about asking the Irish guys and Girls?

I think you have to join and log in as well, also, there is our DSWA facebook page

http://www.dswai.com/

Good luck, If I could I would be down there in a flash!
