funding for apprenticeship/training

Anyone had any success in sourcing funding for taking on an apprentice/trainee in South Wales? Any ideas/advice welcome! I'm getting to the age where I'm not going to be doing this much longer and it would be nice to hand on my experience and skills such as they are. Cheers and thanks, And.

Great call, good for you.
Reckon your best course of action would be to contact Linda Clarkson who is Training & Education Coordinator for the DSWA and works from the office at Crooklands. She is a reliable fund of knowledge on all such initiatives.
Email: training @dswa.org.uk
or Tel 015395 67953
She is taking some leave between now and Christmas but will, I think, be continuing to check her email now and again.
Good luck.

I've also been giving some thought about taking on another apprentice. unfortunately cant find anyone that fits in with my travelling life stile. There is government money available for such schemes. You could look at the CITB and see what they offer. Most people working in construction pay a levy to them for such causes. Best of luck with your endeavors.
