Hello folks,

Found this site looking for a Dry stone dyke course in my area. Some good information on here and hoping its going to be an invaluable resource.

Recently moved house to a nice rural converted steading. Got a few dykes in need of some TLC and would like to build along the other parts of my boundary.

So looking for opportunities to learn some skills in Aberdeenshire. If anyone can knows of any events or would like some free labour in exchange for tuition I am willing. I work offshore on a fixed rota so am available week days and weekends if anyone is willing to make an offer.

Stu

Hi Stu,

George Gunn usually runs dyking courses for the Scottish Traditional Skills Centre up at Turriff if you are interested. Otherwise ask the local BTCV group who generally have the odd bit of dyking or of course there's always the local DSWA group!
