Have you any experience of building walls? if yes then buy the BTCV (or copy the relevant pages) and spend the next year learning and building and rebuilding the wall until you get it right. If not then buy the BTCV (or copy the relevant pages) and spend the next year learning and building and rebuilding the wall until you get it right. :)

Or, go on a drystone walling course.

You may not have enough stone. In my humble experience people with none or little experience tend to overestimate how much walling they'll get out of a pile of stone.
I just like stone!!

A ton of stone will make approx. a metre of wall. 1.4 high, go on a DSWA course and if you have to, get more stone, you won't stop from there.posting.php?mode=reply&f=2&t=866#
Best of luck'
